FRIDAY-March 17th :

1:00 PM    Gather together at the Molokai airport and begin to your immersion into Old Style Hawaiian Music and Aloha Lifestyle with a visit to Kaunakakai and the scenic drive east to Pu’u O Hoku Ranch.

3:00:    Arrive at Pu’u O Hoku Ranch

4:00:    Orientation and slide show of Molokai and 5 years of Uke Ohana   

4:30:    Aloha Friday Kanakapila

6:00:    Dinner    

7:00:     Hana Hou 

9:00:     Sweet Dreams

 

SATURDAY-March 18th :

6:00 AM: Sunrise drive to Halawa Valley –  Swimming, Yoga and Music to start our day.

7:30:   Breakfast in the Lodge

8:30:   Ukulele Music Classes  – Introductions and aspirations of participants. Lono’s inspiration for the workshop is connecting Old Style music with you and your Ukulele by playing traditional songs of Molokai, his original compositons along with the Chants and Hulas of Molokai.  Sarah & Craig will be sharing their inspirational teaching of Ukulele with traditional songs of Molokai and contemporary songwriting.

12:30   Lunch and  Free Time

1:30 PM  Experience Molokai’s cultural herititage at a historical site a short hike from the Lodge.

3:30:   Free Time 

4:30:   Afternoon Classes of Hula and Music with Private Sessions from Lono, Sarah and Craig.  

 

5:30:   Gather together with Music

 

6:00:   Dinner in the Lodge

 

7:30:    Lono and Hui O Mele Nei performance of the history of Molokai through story, hula  and music.

9:00:  Sweet Dreams 

 

SUNDAY-March 19th:

6:00 AM: Sunrise drive to Halawa Valley – Swimming, Yoga and Music to start our day.  

7:30:  Breakfast in the Lodge 

8:30:  Ukulele Music Classes

12:30:  Lunch with Hike to Mo’oloa Waterfall or Picnic at Halawa beach.

 

4:30:  Afternoon Classes of Hula, Music and Private Sessions with teachers

 

5:30:  Gather together with Music

6:00:   Dinner in the Lodge

7:30:   Kanikapila and Mele Nei

9:00:  Sweet Dreams

 

MONDAY-March 20th:

6:00 AM: Sunrise Drive to Halawa Valley –  Swimming, Yoga and Music to start our day.

7:30:  Breakfast in the Lodge

8:30:  Ukulele Music Classes

12:30: Lunch

1:30:   Holo Holo Tour of Pu’u O Hoku Ranch 

 This is your afternoon to fall in love with your ukulele and the music you make together, as you compose a song to share. Lono, Sara, Craig and Mele Nei will be available to encourage your creativity.

5:30:   Gather with music 

6:00:  Dinner in the Lodge

7:30:   Last evening Kanikapila of everyones original music and Mele Nei

9:00:   Sweet Dreams

 

TUESDAY-March 21st:

6:00 AM: Sunrise drive to Halawa Valley –  Swimming, Yoga and Music to start our day.

7:30:    Breakfast in the Lodge

8:00     Farewell Gathering with Music

9:00:   Vans depart for airport and Coffee’s Kanikapila

12:00:   Workshop ends
