FRIDAY / May 27th, 2016:

1:00 PM    Gather together at the Molokai airport and begin to your immersion into Old Style Hawaiian Music and Aloha Lifestyle with a visit to Kaunakakai and the scenic drive to Pu’u O Hoku Ranch.

3:00:    Arrive at Pu’u O Hoku Ranch, Settle into Lodge and private Rooms

4:00:   Aloha Friday  

6:00:     Dinner

7:00:    Orientationa and photographs of Molokai  

7:30:     Continue Aloha, Stories and Music of Molokai

10:00:  Sweet Dreams.

 

SATURDAY / May 28th:

6:00 AM: Sunrise drive to Halawa Valley

8:00:   Breakfast in the Lodge

9:00:   Beginning Class  – Introductions and aspirations of participants. Lono’s inspiration for the workshop is connecting Old Style music with you and your Ukulele by playing traditional songs of Molokai, his original compositons, traditional Chants and Hulas of Molokai.

12:00   Lunch and  Free Time

1:30 PM  Tour of Pu’u O Hoku Ranch 

3:30:   Free Time 

4:30:   Afternoon Classes of Music, Hula and Private Sessions with Lono.

5:30:   Gather together with Music

6:00:   Dinner in the Lodge

7:30:    Lono and Hui O Mele Nei performance of the history of Molokai through story, hula and music

10:00:  Sweet Dreams 

 

SUNDAY/ MAY 29th:

6:00 AM: Sunrise drive to Halawa Valley  

8:00:  Breakfast in the Lodge 

9:00:  Ukulele Music, Chant and Hula Classes

12:00: Lunch  

1:30 PM   Experience Molokai’s cultural herititage at a historical site.

3:30:  Free Time

4:30:  Afternoon Classes of Music, Hula and Private Sessions with Lono. 

5:30:  Gather together with music

6:00:   Dinner in the Lodge

7:30:   Kanikapila and Mele Nei

10:00: Sweet Dreams


MONDAY / MAY 30th:

6:00 AM: Sunrise Drive to Halawa Valley

8:00:  Breakfast in the Lodge.

9:00:  Ukulele and Hula classes

12:00: Lunch with Hike to Mo’oloa Waterfall or Picnic at the beach.

1:00 PM This is your afternoon to fall in love with your ukulele and the music you make together, as you compose a song to share. Lono and Mele Nei will be available to encourage your creativity.

5:30:   Gather with music 

6:00:  Dinner in the Lodge.

7:30:   Last evening Kanikapila and Mele Nei

10:00: Sweet Dreams

 

TUESDAY May 31st:

6:00 AM: Sunrise drive to Halawa Valley

8:00:    Breakfast in the Lodge

8:30      Farwell Gathering with Music

10:00:  Vans depart for airport. 

12:00:   Workshop ends
